Global stability analysis of a delay cell-population model of hepatitis B infection with humoral immune response
2021
In this work, we propose and investigate a delay cell population model of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. We suppose spatial diffusion of free HBV particles, and use a Beddington-DeAngelis incid...
Cosmological radio emission induced by WIMP Dark Matter
2011
We present a detailed analysis of the radio synchrotron emission induced by WIMP dark matter annihilations and decays in extragalactic halos. We compute intensity, angular correlation, and source counts and discuss the impact on the expected signals of dark matter clustering, as well as of other astrophysical uncertainties as magnetic fields and spatial diffusion. Bounds on dark matter microscopic properties are then derived, and, depending on the specific set of assumptions, they are competitive with constraints from other indirect dark matter searches. At GHz frequencies, dark matter sources can become a significant fraction of the total number of sources with brightness below the microJa…
Indeterminacy relations in random dynamics
2007
We analyze various uncertainty measures for spatial diffusion processes. In this manifestly non-quantum setting, we focus on the existence issue of complementary pairs whose joint dispersion measure has strictly positive lower bound.
Le processus de diffusion du football en Franche-Comté
2006
This paper seeks to demonstrate, from a geographical viewpoint, how football, a sport that was fairly undeveloped at the beginning of the 20th century, has become a major element in daily life. Taking the region of Franche-Comté (population: 1.1 million) as an example, the spatialisation of the diffusion cycle of the sport is shown (introduction into the territory, growth, then saturation). The territorial dimension of football is thus analysed.
Comprehensive pharmacokinetic model of insulin Glargine and other insulin formulations.
2005
In this paper, a comprehensive pharmacokinetic model for different insulin formulations including insulin Glargine is developed based on the model proposed by Trajanoski et al. (1993). Current models show limitations for insulin Glargine due to the appearance of an uncharacteristic peak in the concentration-time evolution of plasma insulin that does not coincide with real experimental data. This important limitation has been solved in this paper by introducing a new virtual insulin state called the bound state, in addition to the dimeric and hexameric ones. Trying to describe the retarded action of insulin Glargine, the modeling idea behind this approach is that immediately after the subcut…
